Coast redwoods are among the most fun species to work with for Bonsai. These trees grow very fast, and backbud easy, making styling a much quicker process. You can go from raw stock to finished in less than a year! This particular tree was collected from the Mendocino coast around 5 years ago, and has adapted well to being in a shallow container, as all coast redwoods do. This shohin is very well styled already, and will keep growing new branches throughout the year. There are a few chances for some very cool looking “Uro” (holes in the trunk), as you can see in the pictures. The deadwood is also very natural looking. This tree could easily be a perfect show stopper with minimal work. Everyone needs a redwood in their collection! It is the off season for us bonsai people, and many of us are taking vacations while our plants are low maintenance. But this doesn’t mean those of you who are still ready to work have to stop! I will still be posting trees throughout the winter, with some very exciting pottery and flowering species coming up in spring for repot season! I sell these trees to both promote the artform, and to support my addicting and often expensive hobby. PAYMENT: I accept all forms of payment. All items will be paid for via Paypal, or notified of payment within 2 days of the end of the auction.
SHIPPING: Shipping is estimated for USPS Priority mail 2-3 day delivery. All items will be shipped out the following Tuesday after payment to ensure the least amount of time the tree has to be in a box. I do not charge for packing materials or labor.
RETURNS: Please contact me regarding any returns. I will only accept returns if the tree is damaged or dies. I am not anticipating either of these circumstances, as my trees are healthy, and packaged with extreme care.
