Vigorous, twining vines with wide landscape usage. These are the Vines of the Great Estates and Grand Gardens. Breathtaking plantings can be found in Kykuit (New York), Longwood Gardens (Philadelphia) and Filoli (California). Elegant, large, cascading racemes are borne in the spring. Each flower is pea-like and very fragrant. The Pink Wisteria blooms from early spring. Its green, compound leaves are shed during autumn to winter, and then the ornamental, elongated bean-like seed pods takes center stage till they explode with a remarkable force! Hardy from zone 5 onwards. 30 feet or more tall but can be kept small by pruning. For a small garden, train it into a tree, perhaps in a pot. Full sun for sensational blooms. Any soil type, and in fact, flowers better when not fertilized and kept moderately moist. You are bidding on the plant shown, growing in a 3″ pot, shipped in its pot and not bareroot. Shipping out PRIORITY MAIL on Monday through Thursday so that you will get the box by end of the SAME week rather than having it sit in a truck/warehouse over the weekend.
